Born on January 20, 1996, Alyja Daphne “Jaja” Santiago, is one of the most prominent volleyball players in the country today. At the age of 21, she has already made a name for herself and have established career in the sport of volleyball.

The University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons stood out not just another victory, but a record-making one, at the Round 1 of the UAAP Season 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament, against the De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers, 98-87.

Proving himself again this time, University of the Philippines’ (UP) skipper Paul Desiderio flared up UP’s second victory, with his efficient performance against the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors, as the Maroon squad knocked off the Red Warriors and gave them a three-game skid, 84-71, in the UAAP Season 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament’s Round 1.

A decisive do-or-die three-point shot from University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons skipper Paul Desiderio bested out University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers within the last five seconds of their first game in UAAP Season 80’s Men Basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena, with one point, 74-73.
