Power of love, not enough to stop a man from threatening his woman on Valentine’s Day

A woman was threatened by her live-in partner when he pointed a knife to her and told her in a vernacular “Lagot ka sa akin,” when she refused to give money to her partner upon demanding it as he entered their house along Bonny Serrano Ave., Quezon City , on the afternoon of Valentine’s Day.

Annaliza Chua, 44, was at home at about 5:00 in the afternoon with her child when her live-in partner, Jose Marie Ogtong, 44, arrived and asked for money.

“I refused to give money because I believe he would use the money for bad and useless things, like drugs,” Chua said in Filipino when she was asked why she refused to give money at first.

Chua gave fifty pesos afterwards and Ogtong left after getting the money, however he came back after a few minutes and asked for money again.

She sought help from the police on fear that Ogtong would do the same threat again.

Officer-in-Charge Gaano, together with EX-O Tonaco and BPSO Alfanta responded to Chua, which resulted to Ogtong’s arrest.###
