I. Remember. It. She’s. Her.
She was seating exactly just in front of me. Beside her was where I sat to have a better conversation. We had our introductions with each other first, until we were halted by the instruction to describe each other without talking. She looked at me, I looked at her. Whenever she looked at me she was just smiling, and I thought “Hey, she is a jolly person!” It was just that I felt so awkward with the “no-speaking-describing thing” that I was just grinning at her like an idiot the whole time.
I did not know what to write at first. Scrambling for words to write, I was feeling self-conscious with her looking at me. And yet, I did not know how to describe her. I mean, it was like duh, I merely know her, and it was the same thing with her to me. So, I just started to describe her from head to what she was wearing. I thought that was the best thing to do to describe a person you do not know well yet, not that I mean to be judgmental person.
She has a natural, virgin hair – one that does not have any treatments. It was a black, straight-wavy hair, which was almost as long as mine.
She wore glasses to have a better view. And she has got hazel-shaped eyes.
She was wearing white blouse, black leggings, white watch, and brown ankle-high boots. I supposed she likes color white, since her bag was also color white.
She is left-handed, while I am not. And she has a pony tail in her right wrist at that time.
She has pretty nails, though she does not have any nail polish. I assumed that she does not like nail polish.
It was just after a few minutes that we were allowed to talk, and to ask questions. I felt that the intense shackles in my inquisition’s grip were loosened.
She asked me stuff, I asked her stuff. The first thing I asked her was that “Um, I think you are a jolly person?” And yes, I was right with that!
But oh boy, I was wrong with two assumptions! I felt embarrassed. Though she had not had some when we talked, she told me that she likes nail polish. And her favorite color is blue.
According to her, she is purely Filipina, a Kapampangan. From batch 2012, she is also eighteen, just like me. And she is taking up Business Administration and Accounting.
Knowing her was really like… magical. I am happy to know someone who likes the magic of Harry Potter as well. Of all the series, it is the Goblet of Fire that she likes the most. Since according to her, all magic could be found in there.
She is someone I hope I’ll be friends with for a long a time, not just in this class.
Her name is Irish.
