PDAF issue related to Ampatuan massacre according to Roque
IT was four years since the tragic massacre in Maguindanao occurred and the victims’ families were still unable to get the compensation and justice they should have had.
Lawyer Harry Roque explains the Maguindanao Massacre’s case to the audience. He compared it to the other criminal cases that remained unsolved until now, where some money from the government budget was spent.
“The issue of PDAF and Maguindanao massacre is not separated because the government should give compensation to the family of the victims” said lawyer Harry Roque in Filipino, who was one of the speakers on a roundtable discussion at the College of Mass Communication Auditorium on Wednesday afternoon, in commemoration to the fourth anniversary of the Maguindanao Massacre on November 23.
He connected the pork barrel issue with the Maguindanao Massacre due to the assertion that the government was unable to give compensation to the victims’ families, in which according to statistics, the government had huge sums of budget from the PDAF or Priority Development Allocation Fund.###
